Cutting huge limb off tree. (How maybe not to.)

It's good to keep an older car for jobs like this. I didn't know for sure what was going to happen. The upper part of the limb was rotted and I figured it couldn't do much damage and it didn't as it shattered into a million pieces. It's the big green and heavy section of limb I was worried about. I positioned myself behind the trunk to block the worst of it. The car didn't have but nary a scratch on it- amazing. Before you say this is stupid- I knew the risk and was willing to save hundreds of bucks to get that rush. LOL. I spent hours staring and planning my attack- I came out ok and that is good.

Cutting Down a Powerline to Ministry

Filmed from the parking lot at UB South Campus. I can't imagine how this pole got snapped in half like that. There's no wind, no lightning... nothing tall enough to hit it can get down that road. Really weird. Soundtrack provided by my car stereo.
